The Board of Foothills Performing Arts has decided for the good of the theatre and our patrons to postpone “Footloose” at the JE Broyhill Civic Center until next season. The reason for this decision being lack of an artistic director and low audition attendance. In its place we will be producing, “You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown” at our FPA Theatre Bldg. “B” CCC & TI, Hudson NC. Show dates are September 21-23 & 28-30, 2007. All Season Tickets for “Footloose” 2007 will be honored at Charlie Brown performances.
Based on the “Peanuts” comic strip by Charles M. Schultz, this musical play version was revised and performed on Broadway. The six member cast will sing the tales of this comical band of kids and Snoopy of course. David Townsend returns to FPA to play the title role, Charlie Brown. Brandy Benge Hall last seen in FPA’s “Kids Say the Darndest Things” will be Sally Brown. Performing for the first time at FPA will be Trent Yoder as Snoopy, Wilson Mericle as Linus Van Pelt, and Becky Lowrey as Linus’ sister Lucy Van Pelt. Jonathan Cox known for contemporary Christian music will return to FPA as Schroeder.
